Grace Meidanis
President
Grace has been involved with the
Winthrop Playmakers since 2007. She first started out as an active
member and the last two years as a board member. Grace has been
onstage in various productions such as Bye Bye Birdie, Into the
Woods, Hair, Vagina Monologues, various Summer Revue concerts and
Picasso at the Lapin Agile, to name a few. She has also worked
backstage as an ASM for West Side Story, Full Monty and
The Wedding
Singer. In addition somehow word got out that Grace can “paint” so
she has assisted in many Playhouse productions in Scenic Painting,
Set Dressing and Props Mistress. Grace has expanded her skill set to
producing and was honored to be a co-producer last year for WPM’s
production of RENT which was definitely and unforgettable
experience. She will be back at it again in the spring of 2012 as
the co-producer for WPM’s production of The Laramie Project. By day,
Grace is an HR professional at DataXu in south Boston. The Playhouse
is her second home and the Playmakers are her local family here in
Massachusetts. She is grateful for the opportunities the Playhouse
has given her, the friends she has made along the way and her
continued participation to contribute to the development of the
organization by “being part of something different”!

Katie Moore
Corresponding Secretary
Katie Moore walked into the world of
the Playmakers in 2009 and never looked back. She has been on-stage
in shows such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The
Boys Next Door and her backstage work has come on shows such as
Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Rent and 42nd Street.
Katie's full-time job is as an HR/Recruiting Specialist at a
telecommunications company in Boston, but at the theater she can be
found touching up wigs or helping dress a set, having fun and
getting to know some amazing people along the way. The playhouse is
a second home, and Katie was thrilled to join the Board of
Directors. "I am proud to say I'm a part of this organization - I
believe in it and the quality community theater which we produce."
