The Winthrop Playmakers proudly announce auditions for their 2008 production of Rumors

Audition Dates and Times:

Auditions will be held on Monday, February 4th and Tuesday, February 5th at 7 pm. Callbacks will be held on Wednesday, February 6th at 7 pm.

Roles for 5 Men and 5 Women; Age Range 20's - 40's

Audition Requirements: Prepare a/any Neil Simon 1-3 minute monologue; Auditioners will be asked to read from the script.

Neil Simon's Rumors chronicles the 10th wedding anniversary of a high-ranking New York City official and his wife. However, the happy occasion soon sours -- the deputy mayor shoots himself in the head, (no need to worry, it's just a flesh wound), his wife is missing and his lawyer, a guest at the party, decides it's time for a cover-up. More guests arrive and soon nobody can remember who has said what about whom. The cover-up unravels in a storm of slamming doors and hilarity.

Production Dates: April 18-20, 2008 and April 25-27, 2008
